Steam on the North Norfolk Railway - Part 1

Our first episode looks at steam in action on England's North Norfolk Railway, seen from lineside locations between Sheringham and the halfway station of Weybourne.

Leaving Sheringham, the line passes over the golf course level crossing, running along the coast past Skelding hill and Dead Man's Hill (reputedly a burial site of plague victims). Turning inland, the line crosses the main road on a bridge and climbs at 1 in 80 (1.25%) to Weybourne, halfway point and home of the line's locomotive works.

Locomotives seen include celebrity ex-GWR 4-4-0 No 3713 'City of Truro' (the first locomotive claimed to have reached 100 mph), 0-6-0PT No L99, J72 -0-6-0T No 69023, 'Jinty' 3F 0-6-0T No 47406, 56XX 0-6-2PT No 5619, J15 0-6-0 No 65462, & 0-6-0PT No 1982 'Ring Haw'.
